Nikki, John, their family and friends have seen first hand how YOUR money really can make a difference. Many, many thanks, as always, to all of you whether you have taken part in an event, cheered others on, donated money or given your time. It really is appreciated.
And many thanks to Janice Butcher for her continued support as a COSMIC volunteer.
Should you wish to make a donation you can contact us and we'll arrange for the money to go the three charities. Alternatively, on the home page, you can click on the link for a specific charity and donate direct to either CLIMB, COSMIC or First Step.
If at all possible, it would be appreciated if you could let the charities know it's in memory of Isabel Butcher. Let us know too so that we can update the total accordingly and thank you for the donation.

Here are some of the pictures of our fundraising events in support of CLIMB, First Step and COSMIC.
Dec 07: Can-Can at Pinnacle's Christmas party. If you haven't guessed, that's John in the centre picture. Ooh la la !! The generous staff at Pinnacle raised a fantastic £1100.
April 08: Quiz night in memory of Isabel. This was a great night and our quiz master for the evening, Mark Wingett star of film and TV (probably most famous as Jim Carver in The Bill) helped us to raise over £3500 for First Step.
May 08: More money donated by Pinancle staff. The Canning Town and Brockley offices had a sponsored slim. The Fat Club raised in the region of £400. So pounds lost really do equal pounds gained for the charities !
July 08: Nikki and John and almost 500 others joined together on the 5k COSMIC Walk. It was a beatiful sunny afternoon in Hyde Park and a good chance to meet up with some mums, dads and hopsital staff from St Mary's. Nikki and John raised over £600 - and the walk was a nice gentle warm up for the marathon (or Snickers as they are now called !!)
October 08: Greenwich for the "Run To The Beat" Half-marathon. Rain, wind, tube delays and overpriced hot drinks didn't stop this being a great event. Ben Codling, Isabel's cousin joined thousands of others raising money for many different charities. Ben completed his first ever half marathon in a respectable time of 1 hour 38 minutes. And in the process he raised around £1800 (Many thanks to Marks and Spencer, Paddington for their generous contribution towards this total).
Later in October 08: This time Southsea for the "Great South Run" weekend. The rain and wind was even worse than at Greenwich but that didn't stop family friend Jeff Walker and his son Adam competing in the adult and junior events respectively. Again, thousands of people took part in awful conditions - most raising funds towards other good causes. Jeff and Adam had raised around £2000 and still managed a smile depsite being cold, wet and completely shattered. Mind you some of us spectators were quite puffed just watching them all go by !
A big thank you to Ben, Jeff and Adam and all the family and friends that cheered them on in such wet, miserable conditions
February 09 gave us the opportunity to meet up with representatives from CLIMB, COSMIC and the St Mary's PICU team to present the money raised by Jeff, Adam and Ben in the above events
July 09: Nikki and John and many hundreds more, once again strolled through Hyde Park on the 5k COSMIC Walk. Blessed again with a beautiful sunny day they raised over £600 which went towards a whopping £21,000 raised in total on the day.
September 09: John along with friends and colleagues Kirsty Golden, Jamie Euesden and Michael Higginson abseiled 120' down the Romford YMCA, raising a staggering £2400 for First Step.
Our four intrepid abseilers, along with many of our family and friends donned red and black ladybird outfits in memory of Isabel's favourite dressing up costume.
And to cap the day we had not one but three rainbows over the YMCA without a drop of rain in sight. One of the three rainbows was upside down - perhaps a certain little girl was 'smiling' down on what she was seeing !
Christmas 09 - June 10: Thanks to Janice, Joe and Vera Butcher for their contributions for COSMIC donating almost £400 via a variety of gifts and items needed by the charity.
July 10: Another walk through Hyde Park and on to Paddington in support of COSMIC. Yet again we we blessed with beautiful weather - though Hyde Park look like it needed a good downpour ! We raised £470 going towards a fantastic figure of around £20,000 raised on the day. Thanks again for all the sponsorship and to all those volunteers that give up theri time to help out. Good effort all round !

March 11: Well done to Oliver Dear and Kieron Gibbons on completing the Bath Half Marathon and raising over £800 for COSMIC. Many thanks and what a great achievement gents, shame about the pose !!!
April 11: Big thanks to all the 'bucket janglers' at Liverpool Street. It's not an easy task as there seems to be people collecting for a good cause every week. Over £400 raised for COSMIC. And thanks to all the commuters that gave to the cause.
